■ Transmitting
1 Press the key programmed as 2-Tone Encode.
•A 2-Tone code appears on the display.
2 Rotate the Rotary encoder to select your desired
2-Tone code.
3 Press the PTT switch and 2-Tone Encode key to
begin transmitting. Release the 2-Tone Encode
key when transmission has started. Release the
PTT switch to receive.
• When you release the PTT switch, optional
signalling turns OFF and the LED indicator flashes
orange. When you receive a signal, the LED
indicator alternates between green and orange.
When the signal drops out, the LED indicator
flashes orange again. If no signal is received for a
pre-determined time, optional signalling turns back
ON.
• Pressing the key programmed as Monitor or
Squelch at any time will turn the optional signalling
back ON.
