BLANK DISC = The disc does not contain any recordings.
BUFFER OVER = An attempt is made to perform high-speed recording of more than
100 tracks within 74 minutes.
CAN'T EDIT = An attempt is made to edit a track which is too short.
CD LID OPEN = The CD door is open.
CD NO DISC = A CD is not inserted.
DISC ERROR = The contents of UTOC* are abnormal. In this case, perform "ALL
ERASE" operation (page 52). If this is not possible, use another disc.
DISC FULL = There is no recordable area on the disc or an attempt is made to
record a 256th track. In this case, use another recordable disc.
Note that more than 255 tracks cannot be recorded on a disc.
FULL = An attempt is made to select a 33rd track when setting the
Q.ERASE or Q.MOVE operation.
MD NO DISC = An MD is not inserted.
MD WRITING = The data related to editing or recording is being written in the disc.
NO TRACKS = The MD disc does not contain any track but has a disc title.
PGM FULL = An attempt is made to select a 33rd track when programming CD
or MD tracks.
PGM Mode = An attempt is made to perform random playback, high-speed re-
cording (CD=MD) or MD title input while the system is in the
program mode. The program mode should be canceled before start-
ing these operations. (pages 31, 34 and 42)
PLAY ONLY = The inserted MD is a playback only disc. Insert a recordable MD.
PROTECTED = The inserted MD is write-protected. In this case, enable the
recording. (page 62)
The erasure protect tab of the cassette is broken. Apply tape
only to the position where the tab has been removed. (page 63)
RANDOM Mode = An attempt is made to perform MD O.T.E. recording or TAPE O.T.E.
recording while the system is in the CD random play mode. The
random mode should be canceled before starting these operations.
