Selecting and displaying subtitles
If the DVD provides subtitles, they can be displayed on your TV
screen.
When subtitles are available in several languages, you can select
your preferred language.
1 Press »
y« during playback.
– Display: for example, »
o 1/21 Eng« is briefly
displayed, and the current subtitle is displayed.
2 Keep pressing »y« to select the subtitle language.
Notes:
To switch off the subtitles, keep pressing »
y« until »o Off«
appears in the display. Switching the subtitles can be sup-
pressed by the structure of the DVD itself. In this case the setting
is usually made in the DVD menu.
Playing back chapters, titles or files in random
order (in CD mode)
1 To call up the function, press »CD S/I« until »Shuffle On«
appears in the display.
– The chapters, titles or files are played back in random order.
2 To quit the function, press »CD S/I« until »Shuffle Off«
appears in the display.
Playing the introductions of all titles or files (in
CD mode)
1 To start this function, press »CD S/I« once.
– Display: »Intro«.
– The first ten seconds of each title or file are played. Playback
begins with the first title or file.
2 Press »

« to start normal playback at the required position

To quit the function, press »CD S/I« until »

« appears.
Zero setting (GO TO)
This function allows you to choose the playback position on the
DVD, video CD or audio CD to the precise second.
1 Press »
a« on the remote control to call up the function.
– The zero setting menu is displayed.
2 Select the title or chapter number display with »

the remote control.
