Checking the volume with a test tone
A test signal can be created for each connected speaker to check
the volume level. »Off« is the default setting.
1 Select the »Setting« item in the main menu with »

« or »

and press »OK« to confirm.
2 Select »Test Tone« with »

« or »
S
« and press »OK« to
confirm.
– A menu screen appears showing each test tone.
– The test tone sounds in turn from the left front speaker, the
central speaker, the right speaker, the surround speakers and
the subwoofer.
3 Press »

« to finish the test tone.
Setting the volume level for the individual channels
Depending on the current operating mode (see the loudspeaker
indicator on the DVD receiver), you can adjust the volume to the
listening position. You can make this setting either with or without
the test tone. The volume impression should be about the same for
all channels. The individual volumes can be adjusted within a range
of -6 to +6 dB.
When entering the settings, if no button is pushed for more than
5 seconds, the DVD receiver quits the menu automatically. Any
altered settings are saved.
1 Press »SPK LEVEL« to open the menu for setting the level.
– Display on the DVD receiver: e.g. »L-CH 0«.
2 Set the volume of the front left speaker using »
z « or
»z +«.
– Display on the DVD receiver: e.g. »L-CH +4«.
3 Press »SPK LEVEL« to start the setting for the centre speaker.
– Display on the DVD receiver: e.g. »C-CH 0«.
4 To set the central speaker (»C-CH 0«), the right front
speaker (»R-CH 0«), the surround speakers (»SL-CH 0«
and »SR-CH 0«) or the subwoofer (»SW-CH 0«), repeat steps
2 and 3.
