DAB (Digital Audio Broadcasting) tuning
TUNING
Use this feature to display various information about the
DAB service currently being received.
Press INFO/TEXTon the front panel (or remote
control) repeatedly while a DAB service is
currently being broadcast.
Each time you press INFO/TEXT, information displayed
in the front panel display changes in the following order.
• The information order starts from the beginning again after the
signal quality information has been displayed in the front panel
display.
• You cannot perform this operation when “Off air” is displayed.
DLS (Dynamic Label Segment)
Displays information about the current DAB service.
Examples are the title of the current song or program, the
name of the artist or speaker, and the name of the next
song or program. This data is continuously updated by the
DAB broadcaster, thus changing often with every new
song or program. Other data, such as news, weather, and
sports headlines, may be broadcast as well.
Program type
Displays the genre (song or program type) of the current
DAB service up to 16 characters.
Ensemble label
Displays the name of the current ensemble up to 16
characters.
Date and time
Displays the current date and time. This data is updated
with each passing minute.
Audio mode and bit rate
Displays the audio mode and bit rate of the current DAB
service.
Channel label and frequency
Displays the channel label and frequency of the current
DAB service.
Signal quality
Displays the signal quality of the current DAB service
ranging from 0 (none) to 100 (best). A higher number
means a better reception level.

For the best reception, adjust the orientation of the DAB antenna
so that a value of 80 or more is displayed for the desired DAB
service.
DAB module firmware version
Displays the version of the DAB module firmware. This
information is for factory use only.

The front panel display can indicate up to 16 alphanumeric
characters at once. The dynamic label segment scrolls in a
continuous manner and the service label, ensemble label and
program type scroll at once.
