ll six presets contain the following fields:

ow Pass Crossover Frequency and Slope
A
djust the upper limit of your SMS
-1
’s
frequency response. Select a crossover setting, in increments of 1, between 15 Hz and
199 Hz (or OFF) and slope at 6, 12, 18, 24, 30, 36, 42 and 48 dB/octave.
Subsonic Filter Frequency and Slope Set your SMS-1’s subsonic filter (low frequency
limit), in increments of 1, between 15 Hz
35 Hz and slope at 6, 12, 18, 24, and 48
dB/octave.
Phase Set the phase (delay) of the SMS-1’s output signal, 0 to 180 degrees (adjustable
in 15 degree increments).
Polarity Set your SMS-1’s polarity by toggling between positive (+) or negative (-). This
in effect reverses the phase 180 degrees.
Volume Each preset can have its own volume separate from the master volume shown
in the setup column. When the master volume changes, the preset volume changes in
lock step.
Contour Frequency This allows you to set a frequency to boost or cut the signal to your
SMS
-1 in response to specific types of source material. These have been preset at the
factor
y according to the pr
esets above, but any or all can be customized to taste.
Contour Level This indicates the amount of boost or cut at the frequency specified in
the contour frequency. Again, this has been preset at the factory but can be adjusted
to taste.
Other controls on the Setting Setup Screen:
12 Volt T
rigger Mode
When active, this control automatically shuts the SMS-1 off until
12 volts is detected via the connector at position 18 on the back panel.
Night Mode Maximum Volume When the NIGHT mode button is pressed on the
remote, this setting is invoked. Night mode is indicated on the LCD display. The SMS
-1
will not play louder than this volume level until the night mode is defeated.
