x BLACK LEVEL (COMPONENT OUT)
(Latin American models only)
Select the black level (setup level) for the video
signals output from the COMPONENT VIDEO
OUT jacks.
You cannot select “BLACK LEVEL
(COMPONENT OUT)” when the system
outputs progressive signal.
x 4:3 OUTPUT
This setting is effective only when you set “TV
TYPE” in “SCREEN SETUP” to “16:9”. Adjust
this to watch 4:3 aspect ratio progressive signals.
If you can change the aspect ratio on your
progressive format (525p/625p) compatible TV,
change the setting on your TV. This setting is
effective only when “P AUTO” or “P VIDEO”
is selected by using the PROGRESSIVE button
on the unit.
When the sound does not synchronize with the
pictures on the screen, you can adjust the delay
time between the picture and sound.
A/V SYNC does not work for MP3 audio tracks
and JPEG image files in DATA CD.
1 Press DISPLAY when playback is
stopped.
The Control Menu appears in the on-screen
display.
2 Press M or m repeatedly to select
(A/V SYNC), then press
ENTER.
The options for “A/V SYNC” appear in the
on-screen display.
3 Press M or m repeatedly to select the
setting you want.
The default setting is underlined.
•OFF
: does not adjust.
ON: adjusts the difference between sound
and picture.
4 Press ENTER.
Note
Depending on the input stream, this function may not
work.
OFF Set the black level of the output
signal to the standard level.
ON Raise the standard black level.
Use this when the picture
becomes too black.
FULL Select this when you can change
the aspect ratio on your TV.
NORMAL Select this when you cannot
change the aspect ratio on your
TV. Shows a 16:9 aspect ratio
signal with black bands on left
and right sides of the image.
