Erasing a group title
1 Press FUNCTION on the remote
repeatedly until “MD” appears in the
display.
2 Press GROUP ON/OFF on the remote in
stop mode.
“GROUP” lights up.
3 Press GROUP SKIP on the remote
repeatedly until the group title you want
to erase appears.
4 Press MENU/NO on the remote.
“Edit Menu” flashes.
5 Press . or > on the remote
repeatedly until “Nm Erase?” appears,
and then press ENTER/YES on the
remote.
The selected group number (e.g. “Gp 3”)
flashes.
6 Press ENTER/YES on the remote.
The default group title appears again
(e.g,.“Group3”).
Note
You cannot erase the title of a group that contains no
tracks.
Registering non-group
tracks as group tracks in
a newly created group
— Create Function
Only a series of tracks that have not been
registered to any group can be registered with
this procedure. You can also use this procedure
to register tracks recorded on a system that
does not support the group function.
1 Press FUNCTION on the remote
repeatedly until “MD” appears in the
display.
2 Press GROUP ON/OFF on the remote in
stop mode.
“GROUP” lights up.
3 Press MENU/NO on the remote.
“Edit Menu” flashes.
4 Press . or > on the remote
repeatedly until “Gp Create?” appears,
and then press ENTER/YES on the
remote.
5 Follow the same procedures as from
step 3 to 6 in “Labeling an MD” on page
29.
6 Press . or > on the remote
repeatedly to search the first track (of
the series of tracks) to be registered.
The selected track number flashes and the
deck starts to play the track for your
confirmation.
