Recording from an Auxiliary Source
l
Connect the auxiliary sound source (a VCR, another tape deck, etc.) as
described on page 7.
l
Press AUX to select the auxiliary unit as the source of sound.
l
Insert the cassette to be recorded on in tape deck 1, advancing past the
tape’s leader if necessary.
l
Press the RECORD button to begin recording from the auxiliary source.
(PLAY depresses automatically)
Recording continues until the tape ends or until you press STOP/EJECT or
PAUSE to interrupt the recording process.
USING THE REMOTE CONTROL
Installing Batteries

Slide cover off battery compartment.
l
Install 2 “AAA” batteries. Be sure to position the batteries in the directions
indicated inside the battery compartment.
l
Replace the cover.
NOTE: When changing batteries, please be sure to dispose of old batteries
properly, observing all state and local regulations.
The remote control allows you to control basic functions of your audio system
from a distance. To use the remote control effectively, always aim the top of it
directly at the SENSOR eye while pressing the function buttons.
The remote control provides remote selection of the TUNER, TAPE, CD, and
AUX selector buttons, and remote operation of the compact disc player and
the tuner. Operate the dual cassette deck using the controls located on the
CD/Cassette unit.
Turning the System On and Off

Press the POWER button to switch from STANDBY to POWER ON mode.
The system begins operating with the sound source that was active when
the system was last used.

Press the POWER button to switch from POWER ON to STANDBY mode.
Adjusting Volume
l
Press VOLUME A to increase volume.
l
Press VOLUME v to decrease volume.
l
Press MUTE to suspend the output of sound. The red indicator light on the
VOLUME dial flashes when mute is active.
l
Press MUTE again to restore volume to the current setting.
