Switching Between AM and FM
l
To change from AM to FM (or vice versa) press the SAND button.
Pressing SAND switches the system back and forth between the two recep
tion modes.
Tuning in a Station
l
Press and hold MANUAL/SEEK V or MANUAL/SEEK A for at least one
second and the tuner will scan automatically down or up for a receivable
radio signal. It stops when it reaches a signal that is strong enough for
clear reception.
Press and hold again to resume the search.

Press MANUAL/SEEK V or MANUAL/SEEK A to move down or up a
single tuning step. Use this option to search for stations manually or to fine
tune reception of a weak station.

Press and hold MANUAL/SEEK V or MANUAUSEEK A to move rapidly
down or up to a desired point in the frequency range. Release when the
desired frequency is reached, and the system stops on the first station with
a strong enough signal for clear reception.
Storing Stations in Memory (Tuner Presets)
The system can store up to 24 different stations - 16 FM and 6 AM - for
easy selection later on.
To store a preset station: Select an AM or FM station usjng the tuning options
explained in the preceding section. Press MEMORY PROS once. The display
flashes the “MEMMY” message, giving you 5 seconds to select a preset
number -
from 1 to 6 for AM’ stations, from 1 to 16 for FM stations.

While the “MEMORY” message is flashing, press PRESET V or
PRESET A to reach the preset number that you want to store the station.

While the “MEMORY” message is flashing, press MEMORY PROS
again to confirm the selection.
The station is stored, and its preset number is diiayed.
NOTE: Storing a station in memory automatically erases any station previous-
ly stored under the selected preset number.
