Remote control connection
When you use this unit connected to a Marantz amplifi er, this unit
receives operation signals sent from the amplifi er and operates
accordingly.
n Connection
Use the supplied remote connection cable to connect the REMOTE
CONTROL IN terminal of this unit to REMOTE CONTROL OUT
terminal of the amplifi er.
n Setting
Set the remote control switch on the rear panel of this unit to
“EXTERNAL” to use this feature.
• This setting will disable remote sensor reception of this unit.
• To operate the unit, point the remote control at the remote
sensor of the amplifi er.
To use this unit without connecting it to the amplifi er, set the remote
control switch to “INTERNAL”.

Before playback using a USB
memory device or iPod

Press <ON/STANDBY>.

Connect the USB memory device or iPod cable to
the USB terminal.
NOTE
• When a USB memory device is connected to this unit, the fi les
recorded onto the USB memory device are read. The time needed
to read the fi les depends on the size of the fi les on the USB memory
device. If the maximum number of fi les and folders are recorded
onto the device, it may take a few minutes to read all of the fi les.
• To turn off the power to this unit, stop playback on the USB memory
device or iPod before turning the power off.
Playback of MP3 and WMA fi les
There are many music distribution sites on the Internet allowing you
to download music fi les in MP3 or WMA (Windows Media
®
Audio)
formats. The music (fi les) downloaded from such sites can be stored
on CD-R or CD-RW discs and played on the unit.
“Windows Media” and “Windows” are registered trademarks or
trademarks of Microsoft Corporation in the United States and other
countries.

be played.
