Operating other equipment
Before the TV operation, select the remote control
mode for the TV.
■ IMPORTANT
• Slide the remote control mode
selector to the lowest position.
1 Press [TV].
2 Operate the remote control by
pointing it at the TV.

NOTE
• When the remote control mode selector is slid to
the lowest position and [TV] is pressed, some
buttons may not work.
• It is recommended that you slide the remote
control mode selector to [AUDIO] after using this
function. Most of the other functions can be used
when the remote control mode selector is at
[AUDIO].
■ IMPORTANT
• Slide the remote control mode
selector to the lowest position.
1 Press [DBS].
2 Hold down [DBS/VCR F].
• Hold down [DBS/VCR F] until you finish
step 5.
3 Press [ENTER].
4 Press number buttons to enter the
manufacturer code.
Examples:
For an Echostar DBS: Press [2], then [1].
For a Sony DBS: Press [2], then [0].
When the manufacturer of your DBS has 2 or
more codes, enter the manufacturer codes in
turn and find the one that operates the DBS
and the remote control properly.
The initial code setting is “01 (G. I.)”.
5 Release [DBS/VCR F].
NOTE
• It is recommended that you slide the remote
control mode selector to [AUDIO] after using this
function. Most of the other functions can be used
when the remote control mode selector is at
[AUDIO].
• Manufacturer codes are subject to change
without notice. You may not be able to operate
the DBS produced by the manufacturer.
• After replacing the batteries of the remote
control, set the manufacturer code again.
