Remedies
Stop playback while driving on
rough roads.
Change the disc.
Check the cords and
connections.
Adjust it to the optimum level.

Insert the disc correctly.
• Insert a finalized
CD-R/CD-RW.
• Finalize the CD-R/CD-RW
with the component which
you used for recording. (See
page 46.)
Insert a disc into the loading slot.

Unlock the disc (See page 16.)
Press the reset button on the
panel holder using a ball-point
pen after detaching the control
panel. (The clock setting and
preset stations stored in memory
are erased.) (See page 2.)
Remove the control panel, wipe
the connectors, then attach it

Causes

Disc is scratched.
Connections are incorrect.
The volume level is set to the
minimum level.

The built-in microcomputer
may have functioned
incorrectly due to noise, etc.
The control panel is not
attached correctly and firmly.
Signals are too weak.
The antenna is not connected
firmly.
Symptoms
• Sound is sometimes
interrupted.
• Sound cannot be heard
from the speakers.
• CD cannot be played back.
• CD-R/CD-RW cannot be
played back.
• Tracks on the CD-R/CD-
RW cannot be skipped.
• “No Disc” flashes on the
display .
• Disc cannot be ejected.
• This unit does not work at
all.
• “Panel Connect Error”
appears on the display.
• SSM (Strong-station
Sequential Memory)
automatic preset does not
work.
• Static noise while listening
to the radio.

What appears to be trouble is not always serious. Check the following points before calling a service
center.
