COPYING PROCEDURE
About copying
Copying can be performed easily from the sets CD unit onto the CD-R unit.
There are two copying speeds (normal and high) and four copying modes.
The mode switches as described below each time the normal speed copying button (NORMAL) or the high speed copying
button (HIGH) is pressed.
The recording level is automatically set to the default value (0.0 dB).
The repeat and random play modes are canceled when the copy mode is set.
During normal speed copying you can listen to the sound as you copy.
During high speed copying no sound is produced.
No signals are output from the digital outputs during high speed copying.
During copying, buttons other than the CD or CD-R stop buttons do not function.
When CD TEXT compatible CDs are copied, the disc names and track names are also copied.
When copying, switch the relay mode to the normal or dual mode. Copying is not possible in the relay or mix mode.

NOTES:
Digital copying may not be possible due to SCMS restrictions if SCMS ENA is set at Copy management in the setup
mode. In this case, copying is automatically performed at normal speed and using analog signals. (See page 6.)
Analog signal copying is always performed in the normal speed mode.
If when the copying mode is set the recordable time on the CD-R/RW is shorter than the time of the CD source you are
trying to copy, CD-R Short is displayed and both the CD and CD-R units are set to the stop mode. If this happens,
check the discs recordable time. (However, when recording track numbers 21 or higher from a source CD containing
over 20 tracks, CD-R Short may not be displayed even if the source time you want to record is longer than the
recordable time on the CD-R/RW.)
If the disc name has already been input on the disc on which you are recording, only the track names are copied.
For some CDs, the text cannot be copied because of copyright protection. In this case Text Protect is
displayed.
Do not turn off the power or unplug the power cord while Now PMA Rec is displayed after recording is completed.
Doing so may render the disc unusable.
