(Surround back decoding mode)
You can use the CUSTOMIZE menu to set the
surround back decoding mode. See page 35.

xDC LINEAR (Phase Linearlizing)
Lets you change the phase polarity of low frequency
signals and enhance the bass.
•OFF
The bass is not enhanced.
•STD
•MID
•HI
The bandwidth range of the phase correction
increases in the order of “STD”, “MID”, “HI”.
xSF LINK (Sound field link)
•ON
Lets you apply the last selected sound field to an
input whenever it is selected. For example, if you
select HALL for the CD/SACD input, then change to
a different input and return to CD/SACD, HALL will
automatically be applied again.
•OFF
Sound field link is not activated.
xDEC. PRI.
(Digital audio input decoding priority)
Lets you specify the input mode for the digital signal
input to the DIGITAL IN jacks. The initial setting is
“PCM” for DVD and MD/DAT, and “AUTO” for
other inputs.
• AUTO
Automatically switches the input mode between
DTS, Dolby Digital, or PCM.
•PCM
PCM signals are given priority (to prevent the
interruption when playback starts). Even when other
signals are input, the sound is output. However, this
receiver cannot decode DTS-CD when set to “DEC.
PCM”. When set to “AUTO” and the sound from the
digital audio jacks (for MD/DAT, etc.) is interrupted
when playback starts, set to “PCM”.
xOSD COLOR
(OSD color system)
(Models of area code CEL, SP only)
Lets you select the color system.

xOSD H.POSI
(OSD horizontal position)
Initial setting: 4
Lets you adjust the position of the on-screen display
horizontally. You can adjust from 0 to 64.
xOSD V.POSI
(OSD vertical position)
Initial setting: 4
Lets you adjust the position of the on-screen display
vertically. You can adjust from 0 to 32.
xDIGITAL ASSIGN ?
(Digital audio input assignment)
Lets you assign the digital audio input to other input.
For details, see “Assigning the audio input” on
page 37.
xDIMMER (Brightness of the display)
Lets you adjust the brightness of the display in 3 steps.

xNAME?
(Naming inputs)
Lets you set the name of inputs selected with INPUT
SELECTOR. For details, see “Naming preset stations
and inputs” on page 45.
