Listening to the Radio
Preset radio stations in the receiver’s
memory first (see “Presetting Radio
Stations” on page 32).
1 Press FUNCTION repeatedly until
“TUNER” appears on the front
panel display.
The last received station is tuned in.
2 Press CH + or – repeatedly to
select the preset station you want.
Each time you press the button, the
receiver tunes in one preset station.
3 Adjust the volume by pressing
VOLUME +/–.
To turn off the radio
Press ?/1.

To listen to non-preset radio stations
Use manual or automatic tuning in Step 2.
For manual tuning, press m or M on the
remote repeatedly.
For automatic tuning, press and hold m or
M on the remote.
z If an FM program is noisy
Press </> until “TUNER” appears in the remote’s
display, move the cursor (c) to “STEREO/MONO”
by using the Scroll key, then press the Scroll key so
that “MONO” appears on the front panel display.
There will be no stereo effect, but the reception will
improve. Press the Scroll key again to restore the
stereo effect.
z To improve reception
Reorient the supplied antennas.
To check the frequency or sound field
Press </> until “TUNER” appears in the
remote’s display, move the cursor (c) to
“DISPLAY” by using the Scroll key, then
press the Scroll key repeatedly.
Each time you press the Scroll key, the front
panel display changes as follows:
index name of the station* t frequency t
sound field t index name of the station.
* This is displayed when you have entered a
name for preset stations (page 74).

You can check the frequency or sound
field by using the DISPLAY button on the
front panel
Press DISPLAY. Each time you press DISPLAY, the
front panel display changes.
