Controlling the other
units with the Supplied
Remote
By adjusting the remote signal, you can
control your TV, satellite receiver, VCR, or
cable tuner with the supplied remote.
Notes
• If you set a new manufacturer, the manufacturer
previously entered will be erased.
• When you replace the batteries of the remote, the
manufacturer settings may be reset to the default
(SONY) setting. Reset the appropriate code
number.
z You can set the manufacturer for your TV,
satellite receiver, VCR, or cable tuner
separately.
Setting the remote for controlling
the other units
The remote is preset at the factory to operate
Sony brand AV components. You can use the
Commander with other preset AV
components also.
If you are using the Commander with a
factory-set Sony component, skip the
following procedures.
To use with other units, you need to follow
the procedures to set the manufacturer codes
for each unit.
Other Operations
1 Press RM SETUP.
The Setup menu appears in the remote’s
display.
2 Move the cursor (c) to “RM SET” by
using the Scroll key, then press the
Scroll key.
3 Move the cursor (c) to the desired
source by using the Scroll key, then
press the Scroll key.
4 Move the cursor (c) to the desired
manufacturer name by using the Scroll
key, then press the Scroll key.
Note
If more than one manufacturer name is listed, try
entering them one at a time until you find the one that
works with your unit.
