You can listen to a radio station either by
selecting a preset station, or by manually tuning
in the station.
Listening to a preset radio
station
— Preset Tuning
Before tuning to preset stations, be sure to preset
them first (see “Presetting radio stations” on
page 57).
1 Press FUNCTION +/– repeatedly to
select “TUNER FM” or “TUNER AM”
(or press TUNER/BAND on the unit
repeatedly to select “FM” or “AM”).
2 Press PRESET +/– repeatedly (or turn
. OPERATION DIAL > on the unit
clockwise or counterclockwise
repeatedly) to select the preset station
you want.
Tip
You can also press the numeric buttons to select
the preset station you want, then press ENTER.
Listening to a non-preset
radio station
— Manual Tuning
1 Press FUNCTION +/– repeatedly to
select “TUNER FM” or “TUNER AM”
(or press TUNER/BAND on the unit
repeatedly to select “FM” or “AM”).
2 Press TUNING +/– repeatedly to tune in
the station you want.
Tips
• To improve broadcast reception, adjust the supplied
antennas, or connect an external antenna.
• When an FM stereo program has static noise, press
FM MODE repeatedly until “MONO” lights up in
the display. There will be no stereo effect, but the
reception will improve.
• To record the radio programs, see “Recording onto a
tape manually” (page 62) or “Timer recording radio
programs” (page 75).
