IMPORTANT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
Thisproduct was designed and manufacturedto meet strict
qualityand safety standards. There are,however ,some
installationand operation precautions which you
shouldbe particularly aware of.
1. ReadInstructions. All the safety andoperating instruc-
tionsshould be read before thesystem is operated.

. RetainInstructions. The safety andoperating instructions
shouldbe retained for future reference.

. HeedWarnings.All warnings on the appliancesand
inthe operating instructions should beadhered to.
4. FollowInstructions. All operating and useinstructions
shouldbe followed.
5. Cleaning.Unplug the appliance from walloutlet before
cleaning.Do not use liquid cleanersor aerosol cleaners.
Usea damp cloth for cleaning.
6. Attachments.Do not use attachments notrecommended
bythe product manufacturer as theymay cause hazards.
7. Waterand Moisture. Donot use these appliances
nearwater—for example, near a bathtub, washbowl,
kitchensink, or laundry tub, ina wet basement, or
neara swimming pool, and thelike.
8. Accessories.Do not place these applianceson an
unstablecart, stand, tripod, bracket, ortable. The
audio/videoproducts may fall, causing seriousinjury
toa child or adult, andserious damage to the products.
Useonly with a cart, stand,tripod, bracket, or table
recommendedby the manufacturer,or sold with the
appliances.Any mounting of the appliancesshould
followthe manufacturer’sinstructions, and should use
mountingaccessories recommended by the manufacturer.
9. V entilation.Slotsand openings in the cabinetare provided
forventilation and to ensure reliableoperation of the
appliancesand to protect them fromoverheating, and
theseopenings must not be blockedor covered. The
openingsshould never be blocked byplacing the products
ona bed, sofa, rug, orother similar surface. This product
shouldnever be placed near orover a radiator or heat
register.This product shouldnot be placed in abuilt-in
installationsuch as a bookcase orrack unless proper
ventilationis provided or the manufacturer’sinstructions
havebeen adhered to.
10.Power Sources. This productshould be operated only
fromthe type of power sourceindicated on the marking
labels.If you are not sureof the type of powersupply
toyour home, consult your appliancedealer or local
powercompany.
11.Grounding or Polarization. Thisproduct is equipped with
polarizedalternating-current line plugs (plugs having
oneblade wider than the other).This plug will fit into
thepower outlet only one way. Thisis a safety feature.
Ifyou are unable to insertthe plug fully into theoutlet,
tryreversing the plug. If theplug should still fail tofit,
contactyour electrician to replace yourobsolete outlet.
Donot defeat the safety purposeof the polarized plug.
12.Power Cord Protection. Power-supplycordshould be
routedso that it is notlikely to be walked onor pinched
byitems placed upon or againstit, paying particular
attentionto cords at plugs, conveniencereceptacles,
andthe point where they exitfrom the appliances.
13.Lightning. For added protectionfor this audio/video
productduring a lightning storm, orwhen it is left un-
attendedand unused for long periodsof time, unplug it
fromthe wall outlet and disconnectthe antenna or cable
system.This will prevent damage tothe product due
tolightning and power-linesurges.
14.Power Lines. An outsideantenna system should not be
locatedin the vicinity of over -headpowerlines or other

lectriclight or power circuits, orwhere it can fall into
suchpower lines or circuits. Wheninstalling an outside
antennasystem, extreme care should betaken to keep
fromtouching such power lines orcircuits as contact
withthem might be fatal.
15.Overloading. Do not overloadwall outlets and extension
cordsas this can result ina risk of fire orelectric shock.
16.Object and Liquid Entry. Neverpush objects of any kind
intothis product through openings, asthey may touch
dangerousvoltage points or short outparts that could
resultin a fire or electricshock. Never spill liquid of
anykind on this audio/video product.
17.Servicing. Do not attemptto service this product
yourself,as opening or removing coversmay expose
youto dangerous voltage or otherhazards. Refer
allservicing to qualified service personnel.
18.Damage Requiring Service. Unplugthis product from
walloutlets and refer servicing toqualified service
personnelunder the following conditions:
a.When the powersupply cord or plug isdamaged.
b.If liquid hasbeen spilled, or objects havefallen
intothe product.
c.If the producthas been exposed to rainor water.
d.If the productdoes not operate normally byfollowing
theoperating instructions. Adjust only thosecontrols
thatare covered by the operatinginstructions, as
animproper adjustment of other controlsmay result
indamage and will often requireextensive work by
aqualified technician to restore theproduct to its
normaloperation.
e.If the producthas been dropped or thecabinet
hasbeen damaged.
f. Whentheproduct exhibitsa distinct change in
performance—thisindicates a need for service.
19.Replacement Parts. When replacementparts are
required,be sure the service technicianhas used
replacementparts specified by the manufacturer
orthat the parts have thesame characteristics
asthe original part. Unauthorized substitutions
mayresult in fire, electric shockor other hazards.
20.Safety Check. Upon completionof any service or repairs
tothis product, ask the servicetechnician to perform
safetychecks to determine that theproducts are in
properoperating condition.
21.Carts and Stands. Theappliances should
beused only with a cartor stand that is
recommendedby the manufacturer.An
applianceand cart combination should be
movedwith care. Quick stops, excessive
force,and uneven surfaces may causethe appliance
andcart combination to overturn. Usecaution when
movingthe cart/apparatus combination to avoid
injuryfrom tip-over.
22.This product is notintended for use outdoors.
