DTV MENU
Displays menus on a digital TV.
9 DVD controls (Press DVD first to access)
These controls will also function as DTV
controls, depending on the component you’ve
selected.
TOP MENU
Displays the disc ‘top’ menu of a DVD.
AUDIO
Changes the audio language or channel.
SUBTITLE
Displays/changes the subtitles included in
multilingual DVD-Video discs.
ANGLE
Switches camera angles on discs with
multi-angle scenes.
10 REMOTE SETUP (pages 47–51)
Press this button to set up the remote control to
control other components.
11 RECEIVER CONTROL buttons
STANDARD (pages 30, 32–33)
Press to switch between the various Dolby/
DTS modes
ADV. SURR. (pages 31, 33)
Use to switch between the various
surround modes.
STEREO (pages 30, 33)
Switches direct playback on or off. This
bypasses the tone controls and channel
levels for the most accurate reproduction
of a source.
INPUT SELECT
Use to select the input source.
SIGNAL SELECT (pages 32, 35, 46)
Use to select an input signal.
MIDNIGHT/LOUDNESS (page 33)
Switches to Midnight or Loudness
listening.
MUTE
Mutes the sound (or restores the sound if
it has been muted).
12 TV control buttons
These buttons can only be used to control your
TV.
TV VOLUME +/
Use to adjust the volume on your TV.
TV INPUT
Use select the TV function.
TV
Use to turn on/off the power of the TV.
13 RECEIVER
This switches between standby and on for this
receiver.
14 }]‘’ (TUNE/ST +/) /ENTER
Use the arrow buttons when setting up your
surround sound system (see pages 36–41). Also
used to control DVD menus/options and for
deck 1 of a double cassette deck player. Use the
TUNE +/ buttons to find radio frequencies and
use ST +/ to find and name preset stations
(page 43–45).
15 CHANNEL +/
Select radio station presets. Also skip tracks
backward or forward on CDs, DVDs, etc.
16 MASTER VOLUME +/
Use to set the listening volume.
17 MENU button
Displays the disc menu of DVD-Video discs. It
also displays TV and DTV menus.
