Sleeping to a CD
The sleep timer switches the system into standby after a specified amount of time so that
you can fall asleep without worrying about the stereo being left on all night. If you've also
set the wake up timer this is important since the wake up timer will only work if the
system is in standby.
Note: The clock must be set to be able to use the sleep timer.
1 Press SLEEP twice.
2 Press SLEEP repeatedly to set the time until the system goes into
standby.
There are five settings:
SLEEP AUTO (after the CD has played out)*
SLEEP 120 (mins)
SLEEP 90 (mins)
SLEEP 60 (mins)
SLEEP 30 (mins)
SLEEP OFF (cancels the sleep timer)
The sleep timer indicator ( ) lights when the sleep timer is active.
* not available if you're playing a CD in repeat mode.
Once the sleep timer is set, you can check the time left by pressing SLEEP twice. Be
careful not to press it three times: the sleep timer will be reset.
If you switch to the radio or auxiliary source when SLEEP AUTO is set, the system
will automatically go into standby a minute later.
