5 Using the CD Player

Using random play
Use this feature to randomly shuffle the track playback order. If you set the play mode to
ALL, you can listen to randomly ordered tracks from all of the discs loaded in the changer.
Set the play mode to SINGLE to randomly order the tracks from one disc only.
1 Set the play mode.
Press PLAY MODE (remote only) to switch between ALL and SINGLE.
If you choose SINGLE, press CD1/2/3 (remote) or CD SELECT 1/2/3 (top panel) to
select the CD you want.
It is not possible to change the play mode during random play.
2 Press RANDOM twice.
Random play starts.
You can use random play together with repeat play (see below). During random play, just
press REPEAT.
To cancel random play, press either RANDOM (playback continues to the end of the
disc), or 7.
Using repeat play
Use this feature to play tracks on a disc over and over. In Single play mode you can choose
to repeat either a single track or all the tracks on the selected disc. In All play mode you
can set the current track to repeat or all tracks on all discs loaded to repeat.
1 Set the play mode.
Press PLAY MODE (remote only) to switch between ALL and SINGLE.
If you choose SINGLE, press CD1/2/3 (remote) or CD SELECT 1/2/3 (top panel) to
select the CD you want.
2 Set the repeat mode.
Press REPEAT to switch between:
REPEAT-S – 1-track repeat (the RPT indicator blinks)
REPEAT-A – All-track repeat (the RPT indicator stays lit)
Repeat off (the RPT indicator disappears)
3 Press 6 to start playback.
In 1-track repeat play, any track you play will repeat until you select another track, or stop
the disc.
