TV tuner
Basic Operations
You can use this unit to control a TV tuner,
which is sold separately.
For details concerning operation, refer to the
TV tuner’s operation manual. This section pro-
vides information on TV operations with this
unit which differs from that described in the
TV tuner’s operation manual.
1 Band indicator
Shows which band the TV tuner is tuned to.
2 Preset numberindicator
Shows which preset has been selected.
3 Channel indicator
Shows which channel the TV tuner is tuned.
1 Press SOURCE to select the TV.
2 Press BAND to select a band.
Press BAND until the desired band is dis-
played, TV1 or TV2.
3 To perform manual tuning, briefly press
c or d.
The channels move up or down step by step.
4 To perform seek tuning, press and hold
c or d for about one second and release.
The tuner will scan the channels until a broad-
cast strong enough for good reception is
found.
# You can cancel seek tuning by briefly pressing
c or d.
# If you press and hold c or d you can skip
broadcasting channels. Seek tuningstarts as
soon as you release the button.
Introduction of advanced
operations
% Press FUNCTION to select BSSM.
# To return to the channel display, press BAND.
Note
If you do not operate the function within about 30
seconds, the display is automatically returnedto
the channel display.
Storing and recalling broadcast
stations
If you press any of the preset tuning buttons 1
to 6, you can easily store up to six broadcast
stations for later recall with the touch of a but-
ton.
% When you find a station that you want
to store in memory, press one of preset
tuning buttons 1 to 6 and hold until the
preset number stops flashing.
The number you have pressed will flash in the
preset number indicator and then remain lit.
The selected station has been stored in mem-
or y.
The next time you press the same preset tun-
ing button the station is recalled from mem-
or y.
Notes
! Up to 12stations, six for each of twoTV bands
can be storedin memory.
! You can use a and b to recall stationsas-
signed to preset tuning numbers P.CH01 to
P.CH12.
