3 Press a or b to set the date and clock.
Pressing a will increase the value of the se-
lected segment. Pressing b will decrease the
value of the selected segment.
Turning the off clock display on
or off
If the off clock display is turned on, when the
sources and the feature demo are off, the date
and clock display appears on the display.
1 Press FUNCTION to select OFF CLOCK.
2 Press a or b to turn OFF CLOCK on or
off.
Setting the FM tuning step
Normally the FM tuning step employed by
seek tuning is 50 kHz. When AFor TA is on,
the tuning step automatically changes to 100
kHz. It may be preferable to set the tuning step
to 50 kHz when AF is on.
1 Press FUNCTION to select FM STEP.
2 Press c or d to select the FM tuning
step.
Pressing c or d will switch the FM tuning
step between 50 kHz and 100 kHz while AF or
TA is on. The selected FM tuning step will ap-
pear in the display.
Note
The tuning step remains at 50 kHz during manual
tuning.
Switching Auto PI Seek
The unit can automatically search for a differ-
ent station with the same programming, even
during preset recall.
1 Press FUNCTION to select AUTO PI.
2 Press a or b to turn AUTO PI on or off.
Switching the warning tone
If the front panel is not detached from the
head unit within five seconds of turning off the
ignition, a warning tone will sound. You can
turn off the warning tone.
1 Press FUNCTION to select
WARNING TONE.
2 Press a or b to turn WARNING TONE
on or off.
Switching the auxiliary setting
Auxiliary equipments connected to this unit
can be activated individually. Set each AUX
source to ON when using. About connecting
or using auxiliary equipments, refer to Using
the AUX source on page 25.
1 Press FUNCTION to select AUX1/AUX2.
2 Press a or b to turn AUX1/AUX2 on or
off.
Switching the dimmer setting
To prevent the display from being too bright at
night, the display is automatically dimmed
when the car’s headlights are turned on. You
can turn the dimmer on or off.
1 Press FUNCTION to select DIMMER.
2 Press a or b to turn DIMMER on or off.
