Setting the CD dubbing mode
The MD-105TX provides two CD dubbing modes:
Album dubbing and Fade Out dubbing. These
modes are applied only to CD dubbing, but not to
other operations, such as signal synchro recording.
Album dubbing: If the end of the recordable
area on the disc is reached before the track
ends, the track will be discarded. If only one
track is being dubbed, the track will not be
discarded even if it was not recorded to the end.
Fade Out dubbing:
If the end of the recordable
area on the disc is reached before the track ends,
the last portion of the recorded track will fade out.
The CD dubbing mode setting is possible only
when the MD recorder is stopped.
When your MD-105TX is configured into a
system with Onkyo Separate Collection series
components (A-905TX and C-705TX), you can
record via CD dubbing by pressing the CD
DUBBING button on the MD-105TX.
To perform CD dubbing, your CD player must
be connected through an optical cable to the
DIGTAL INPUT 1 terminal located on the rear
panel of the MD recorder. (Refer to the A-
905TX/R-805TX instruction manual for more
information.)
For the normal recording procedure, see
“Analog Recording” on page 24 or “Digital
Recording” on page 27.
Note
CD-dubbing is not available with the A-905,
C-705 and C-707CH.
When “Protected” is shown in the display, it
indicates that the record-protect tab of the MD
is open. Before starting the recording procedure,
close the tab. (See page 34.)
1 Load the CD in the CD player.
See the C-705TX CD player instruction
manual for information on loading CDs.
2 Load a recordable MD in the MD-
105TX.
