Playing Music CDs with Copy Control Functions

There is noise during playback, or the audio
skips
You are playing back a music CD with a copy control function. Some music CDs
with copy control functions do not meet CD standards. Since these are special
discs, this unit may not be able to play them.

The disc is not recognized, and "NoDISC"
appears in the display
The first track is not played
It takes longer than usual to go to the start of a
track
Tracks start playing in the middle
Some locations can not be played back
Playback stops partway through
The display is wrong

No audio is output for the disc being played
(both analog and digital connections)
Make sure that the cables are plugged in all the way. 14
Make sure that the connected component's input terminal and the input settings
are correct.

Make sure that the amp's volume isn't set to the lowest level, and that the volume
isn't muted.

If headphones are plugged into the player, adjust the headphone volume using
the PHONES LEVEL control on the unit.

No audio is output for the disc being played
(digital connection)
Make sure the Digital Out button isn't set to "off." When making a digital
connection, set the Digital Out button to "on."

I hear noise in the audio The unit may be picking up interference from another digital component. Turn
off the power of peripheral devices, and check for the source of the noise. After
doing so, move components causing noise away from the unit.

The audio playback quality of Super Audio
CDs is poor.
The sound quality may suffer if you play back a Super Audio CD with DIGITAL
OUT on. You should normally keep it off.

The buttons on the CD player work, but the
buttons on the remote controller do not

Make sure that the remote controller is not too far away from the unit, and that
there is no obstruction between the unit and the remote controller.

Make sure that the unit's remote control sensor is not exposed to bright light
(inverted fluorescent light or direct sunlight).

Make sure that the audio rack does not have colored or tinted glass. This could
prevent the remote controller from functioning properly.

The AV receiver volume and muting controls
do not work
