Symptom
STANDBY button is pressed,
but power does not come
on.
Disc is loaded in the disc
tray, but playback will not
begin.
No sound
Disc skipping
Search time (when moving
to a specific track) is
extremely long.
Track numbers cannot be
stored in memory.
Noise during play
Remote control does not
function.
The unit does not operate.
Troubleshooting
Remedy
Insert the plug firmly.
(See pages 11.)
Load the disc with the label facing
upward.
Clean the disc. (See page 23.)
Remove the disc from the disc tray,
place the CD Changer in a warm
place and leave the power on for
about one hour. (See page 4).
Load the disc properly in the disc
tray.
Insert all plugs firmly into jacks.
(See pages 8-9.)
Clean the disc. (See page 23)
Replace the disc.
Place the CD Changer in a more
stable location.
Clean the disc. (See page 23)
Replace the disc.
Load a disc into the tray.
Use only the track numbers on

a distance of approximately 5

Power cord plug is not properly
connected to AC outlet.
Disc is in the disc tray upside
down.
Disc is dirty.
Moisture has accumulated inside
the CD Changer.
Disc in the disc tray is loaded off-
center.
Incomplete or incorrect
connections.
Disc is dirty.
Disc is scratched.
CD Changer has been bumped.
Disc is dirty.
Disc is scratched.
No disc in the tray.
A track number not on the disc is
being input.
Interference from TV
Battery level is low.
Your position is too far from the
units remote control sensor or
out of the sensors detection
angle.
An obstacle exists between you
and the units remote control
sensor.
A failure occurred in the unit's
microprocessor.
