SOLUTION
Connect the cord correctly.

Select the correct input mode on
the TV.

Enter password to change the

Load the disc correctly. (See page

Connect the center unit and TV

Some DVDs are programmed to
always display no subtitle initially. If
this happens, press SUBTITLE on
the remote control after starting

Some DVDs are programmed to
always use the original language
initially. If this happens, press
AUDIO on the remote control after
starting play. (See page 41.)
Reconnect the antennas correctly
and securely.
Change the position and direction
of the AM (MW) loop antenna.
Try to change the Beat Cut mode.

Extend the FM antenna at the best
position.
Connect an external FM antenna
(see page 9), or contact your
dealer.
Select another station.
Check with your dealer to be sure
you have a correct antenna.
DVD Playback
POSSIBLE CAUSE
The video cord or SCART cable is not
connected correctly.
The RGB-Y/C selector is not set correctly.
Incorrect TV input mode is selected.
The disc is not playable.
The disc Region Code numbers are
incompatible.
Playback is restricted by Parental Lock.
The disc is loaded with its label and data
sides inverted.
An unplayable disc is inserted.
The disc is scratched or dirty.
A VCR is connected between the center
unit and the TV.
“STILL MODE” may not be set
appropriately for the current disc.
“MONITOR TYPE” is not set correctly.
The TV is not set correctly.
Antennas are disconnected.
The AM (MW) loop antenna is too close
to the center unit.
Beat Cut mode is not set properly.
The supplied FM antenna is not properly
extended and positioned.
The received signal is too weak.
The station is too far away.
An incorrect antenna is used.
PROBLEM
No picture is displayed on the TV
screen.
A disc cannot be played.
A disc cannot be played and 0:00 is
displayed on the display window.
Video and audio are distorted.
The picture does not fit the TV screen.
No subtitle appears on the TV screen
though you have selected as your
initial subtitle language.
Audio language is different from the
one you have selected as your initial
audio language.
Hard to listen to broadcast because of
noise.
