Operations
General playback features
1. Load your chosen disc in the tray, with the playback side down.
2. Start playback using the HOME menu (see page 21).
Buttons Operations
OPEN / CLOSE (Z) Opens or closes the disc tray.
N (PLAY) Starts the playback.
ENTER Acknowledges the selection on the menu screen (Disc
menu, Title menu, POP-UP menu, etc.).
x (STOP) Stops the playback.
The button on the unit works as “ENTER”.
The unit records the stopped point, depending on the
disc. “Xx” appears on the screen briefly. Press
N (PLAY) to resume playback (from the scene point). If
you press x (STOP) again or unload the disc (“x”
appears on the screen.), the unit will clear the stopped
point. (Xx = Resume Stop, x = Complete Stop)
Notes:
• The resume point may be cleared when a button is
pressed (for example; STANDBY, OPEN/CLOSE, etc).
• On BD-Video discs including BD-J, the resume play
function does not work.
• On BD-ROM interactive title, the unit will be in
Complete Stop mode if you press x (STOP) once
during playback.
X (PAUSE) During playback, press X (PAUSE) to pause playback.
Tip: During Audio CD or MP3/WMA playback, press
X (PAUSE) once again to resume playback.
Press X (PAUSE) repeatedly to play Frame-by-Frame.
. / > (SKIP) During playback, press . or > to go to the next
chapter/track/file or to return to the beginning of the cur-
rent chapter/track/file.
Press . twice briefly to step back to the previous
chapter/track/file.
m / M (SCAN) During playback, press SCAN (m or M) repeatedly
to select the required scan speed.
- DVD, BD, AVCHD, DivX: 5 steps,
- Audio CD, MP3, WMA: 3 steps
While the playback is paused, press SCAN M repeat-
edly to play in slow motion (4 steps, forward only).
TITLE/POP-UP If the current DVD or BD-ROM disc has a menu, the Title
menu or Popup menu appears on the screen. Depending
on the disc, the menu may not be available.
DISC MENU The menu appears on the screen. Depending on the
disc, the menu may not be available.
