The Menu System
Your CDP-100 includes a versatile touchscreen LCD display which supports
both an attractive information display and a flexible menu system. While its use
is quite intuitive, it is also quite extensive. This section of the owner’s manual
outlines the many capabilities found in the menu system.
operational menu
The operational menu consists of several screens that can be accessed directly
from the normal display one sees when playing a CD. They are as follows:
playlist Pressing the
playlist button on the display brings up the playlist for the current
disc. If you have not created a custom program for the disc, the playlist will
simply be a list of all the available tracks on the CD, in order. If you have created
a custom program (see below), it will be presented to you here. Note that this
display is mainly informational; you cannot edit the playlist from this screen.
You may, however, jump to any track by touching it on the screen.
Time allows you to quickly go to a particular time on the disc, in
minutes and seconds. This control is context-sensitive in the
sense that it references your preferred time display, as indicated
in the menu system.
Thus, if you have the CDP-100 set to display time elapsed on
track, pressing the Time button followed by 123 will take you
1:23 into the current track; if you have the time display set to
time remaining on disc, the same sequence of key presses would
have taken you to 1:23 from the end of the disc.
