Turn VOLUME/MULTI JOG on the main unit, or press VOLUME
–/+ on the remote control.
The volume level is displayed as a number from 0 to 30 followed
by MAX.
When the power is turned off while the volume level is set to 22
or more, the volume level is automatically set to 21.
SUPER T-BASS SYSTEM
The T-BASS system enhances the realism of low-frequency
sound.
Press JOG MODE repeatedly until "T-BASS" appears on the
display. Then turn VOLUME/MULTI JOG right or left to select
one of the three levels, or the off position within 6 seconds. The
T-BASS level does not change cyclically.

To select with the remote control
Press T-BASS repeatedly.
NOTE
Low frequency sound may be distorted when the T-BASS system
is used for a disc or tape in which low frequency sound is originally
emphasized. In this case, cancel the T-BASS system.
SOUND
BBE SYSTEM
The BBE system enhances the clarity of high-frequency sound.
Press JOG MODE repeatedly until "BBE" appears on the display.
Then turn VOLUME/MULTI JOG right or left to select one of the
three levels, or the off position within 6 seconds. The BBE level
does not change cyclically.

To select with the remote control
Press BBE repeatedly.
Q SURROUND SYSTEM
The Q SURROUND system built into this unit uses only two
speakers at the left and right to create an atmosphere that sounds
as if you are surrounded by two front speakers and two rear
speakers.
Press JOG MODE repeatedly until "Q-SUR" appears on the
display. Then turn VOLUME/MULTI JOG so that the
QSURROUND indicator lights within 6 seconds.
To cancel the Q SURROUND effect
Repeat the above again so that the QSURROUND indicator goes
off.
To operate with the remote control
Press Qsurround.
NOTE
• The Q SURROUND system does not work in monaural mode.
When the Q SURROUND system is on, the sound may be
distorted at a higher volume. If this happens, turn the volume
down.
