Tones
You can use the Tones menu to customise various
sound settings, such as the:
• Ringing tone, volume and type
• Composing your own melody
• Sounds made when you press a key, make an
error or receive a message
Ring Tone Menu 4-1
This option allows you to select the phones ringing
tone. You can choose between many different tones
and each time you select a tone it is played for a few
s e c o n d s .
If your SIM card supports ALS, this option also allows
you to select a diff e rent ring tone for each line. If you
set a diff e rent ring tone for each line, you can
distinguish between incoming calls.
Melody Composer Menu 4-2
This menu allows you to compose your own,
customised ringing tone.
• Three octaves are available.
• A maximum of 100 notes can be entered.
• Adjustable length of note and note rest.
To Compose Melody
You can compose three melodies. When you access
the menu, the melody name appears, if already
created. Otherwise, Empty appears. Select Empty
to create a new melody or select the melody’s name
that you want to edit.
Use the following keys to compose a melody:
: to enter C, the first note in the musical scale
(doh).
: to enter D (re).
: to enter E (mi).
: to enter F (fa).
: to enter G (soh).
: to enter A (la).
: to enter B (ti).
: to raise an octave higher or drop an octave
lower.
: Not available
: to enter a note rest. Press until you find
the desired length of rest.
: to raise one semitone above the tone
written. Example:If you want to enter a F
sharp, press F (fa) then press .
