A word about PDFs
Your eReader can read books in different formats, including EPUB and PDF. Most of the
books you read will probably be EPUB books, but sometimes you may want to read PDFs
as well.
Because PDFs are a different type of file than regular EPUB books, you read them in a
slightly different way on your eReader.
PDFs reproduce the layout of a full printed page. This is useful for books that have lots
of images or complex layouts, but also means that you can’t change the style or size of
the text. Instead you can zoom in to magnify the text and images on a page. This makes
viewing and turning pages in a PDF different from other books. You also can’t select text in
PDFs, so you cannot add highlights or use the dictionary.
Opening a PDF
To open a PDF, just tap its title or cover in your library.
Turning pages, zooming in, and moving around
PDFs reproduce a printed page, which means you can’t change the size or style of the text
like you can in EPUB books. Instead you can zoom in on a page to see text and pictures at
a comfortable size.
To zoom in on a page:
1. Tap the middle of your page to see the reading menu.
2. Tap the Magnify icon.
3. To zoom in:
Tap the Side arrow icon to fit the page to the width of your eReader screen.
