Setting Up The CRW8824SX Drive
3 Double-click “YAMAHA CRW8824S” listed under “CDROM” (in Windows
95/98/98SE) and click the Settings tab. Check the “Sync data transfer”
checkbox. With “Sync data transfer” enabled, the data transfer between your
CRW8824SX drive and your computer is synchronized, meaning that the
maximum possible data transfer rate can be achieved.
n Refer to the documentation that came with your SCSI card for further details.
n When using Windows NT4.0/2000, “Sync data transfer” will automatically be
selected if the SCSI adapter card supports this feature. You will not need to change
this setting.

Macintosh Users
To check that the CRW8824SX drive is recognized correctly, you will need to use
the Apple System Profiler.
1 When your CRW8824SX drive and computer have powered up, install the CD
writing software.

2 Restart your computer.
3 Start your CD writing software.
4 Check that the CRW8824SX drive is recognized correctly.
