can do one function when the IR is received at Zone 1’s IR Receiver and have a totally different Macro
associated with it when the same IR code is received in Zone 2).
4. Select the RC68+ Sequence Trigger Command to be programmed. (i.e Click on button ‘80’. It will be
outlined in blue.)
NOTE: The shaded buttons are not available for this application. They are reserved for system set-up modes.
(See Section 7: Making Fine Adjustments).
5. In the appropriate palette, click on the command to be associated to the selected RC68 Trigger Command.
6. The code name (function/brand/component) of that command will appear in the Macro Command List
window.
7. Repeat for all commands to be associated to this Command Trigger. A maximum of 40 Commands may be
placed under each RC68 trigger.
8. Repeat steps 4 thru 7 for all desired Sequence Triggers (36 in all)
NOTE: It is recommended to right down the RC68 command trigger button and a brief description of its
MACRO function. (i.e. ‘80’ = Zone 1: Source 3; DSS CH248; Zone Volume = 25). This button (RC68+ ‘80’) will
now need to be ‘taught’ to a learning remote. Whenever this command is received at the Zones IR Receiver,
this MACRO will be executed.

DITING INDIVIDUAL COMMANDS
9. As noted earlier, each command can be edited and directed to a specific Zone or Source emitter output
port. By right-clicking on the desired command, the command may be directed to a specific emitter output
or deleted from the Macro Command window. For more information on editing commands, please see the
section entitled Editing Commands (In the Macro Command Window).
NOTE: Once the project has been transferred to the MRC88m, any time the MRC88m Controller ‘sees’ the ‘80’
command at the specified Zone, this sequence will be initiated. By teaching the ‘80’ command to a hand held
remote, it is now only necessary to send the one IR code and have the sequence generated by the MRC88m.
PROGRAMMING INTERNAL AMPLIFIER COMMANDS
To access the MRC88m Internal Command Generator, click on the Palette Menu in the MRC88m System
Window, and select “MRC AMPLIFIER COMMAND GENERATOR” or simply press F6 on your keyboard. A
special palette of MRC88m Internal Commands will appear, as shown in Figure 40 below.

This special Palette contains the commands used by the MRC88m Controller/Amplifier for default functions and
set-up modes. These commands can be placed under Zone Keypad buttons (i.e. to enable a single keypad to
control other zones such as being able to POWER DOWN all zones if desired), under the RS232 Input
Translator commands (enables central control from a PC to control all functions of the MRC88m on any zone
