Depending on the source, the effect of the center
speaker may be less noticeable.
No sound or only a very low-level sound is
heard from the surround speakers.
Check the speaker connections and settings.
Make sure the sound field function is on
(page 64).

Wireless setting of the surround speaker is not
correct (page 34).
The plasma display may interfere with
transmission, in which case, adjust the position of
the IR transmitter and IR receiver (page 34).
Do not install the IR receiver in a place exposed to
direct sunlight or strong light such as an
incandescent lamp.
Clean the surface of the IR transmitter and IR
receiver.
Operation
Radio stations cannot be tuned in.
Check that the antenna (aerial) is connected
securely. Adjust the antenna (aerial) or connect an
external antenna (aerial) if necessary.
The signal strength of the stations is too weak
(when tuning in with automatic tuning). Use direct
tuning.
No stations have been preset or the preset stations
have been cleared (when tuning by scanning
preset stations). Preset the stations (page 77).
Press DISPLAY so that the frequency appears in
the front panel display.
The remote does not function.
There are obstacles between the remote and the
system.
The distance between the remote and the system is
too far.
The remote is not pointed at the remote sensor on
the system.
The batteries in the remote are weak.
The POWER/ON LINE indicator momentarily
turns red.
The indicator momentarily turns red. This is not a
malfunction.
The POWER/ON LINE indicator flashes in red.
Move the wireless system away from any other

“.MP3.”
The data is not formatted in MP3 even though it
has the extension “.MP3.”
The data is not MPEG1 Audio Layer 3 data.
The system cannot play audio tracks in MP3PRO
format.
The [MODE (MP3, JPEG)] setting has been set to
[IMAGE (JPEG)] (page 52).
If you cannot change the [MODE (MP3, JPEG)]
setting, re-load the disc or turn the system off, then
on.
The JPEG image file cannot be played.
The DATA CD is not recorded in a JPEG format
that conforms to ISO 9660 Level 1/Level 2, or
Joliet.
It has an extension other than “.JPEG” or “.JPG.”
It is larger than 3,072 (width) × 2,048 (height) in
normal mode, or more than 3,300,000 pixels in
Progressive JPEG.
It does not fit the screen (those images are
reduced).
The [MODE (MP3, JPEG)] setting has been set to
[AUDIO (MP3)] (page 52).
If you cannot change the [MODE (MP3, JPEG)]
setting, re-load the disc or turn the system off, then
on.
The MP3 audio tracks and JPEG image file
starts playing simultaneously.
[AUTO] has been selected in [MODE (MP3,
JPEG)] (page 52).
The titles of album/track/file name are not
displayed correctly.
The system can only display numbers and letters
of the alphabets. Other characters are displayed as
[*].
