Playing a tape
The system can play three types of tapes: Type I
(normal), Type II (CrO2) and Type IV (metal).
The system automatically detects the tape type so
there is no need to specify it.

1 Press DECK A EJECT (or DECK B
EJECT) A and insert a recorded tape
into cassette holder A (or B).
With the side you want to
play facing towards you

2 Press TAPE repeatedly until the desired
tape deck (“TAPE A” or “TAPE B”)
appears.
3 Press DIR MODE on the remote
repeatedly to select “
” to play one side
of the tape or “
”* (or “R”*) to play
both sides repeatedly.
If you select “R” (Relay), both tapes will play
back in consecutive order.
* The tape automatically stops after playing
back five times.
4 Press TAPE A (or TAPE B) nN.
The selected tape starts playing.
To change the playback direction, press
TAPE A (or TAPE B) nN again. The
reverse side will begin playing.
To Do this
Press DECK A EJECT (or
DECK B EJECT) A.
Stop playback Press TAPE A (or TAPE B)

Adjust the volume
Pause Press X. Press again to
resume playback.
Fast-forward or
rewind
With the tape stopped‚ press
TAPE A (or TAPE B) M or
TAPE A (or TAPE B) m.
Remove or replace
the tape
Turn VOLUME.
