Getting Started
Do not block the ventilation slots of the unit (page 8).
Place the front speaker forward from the TV. Make sure there are no reflecting obstacles in front of the speaker.
The front speaker should be pointed straight forward. Do not place the speaker at an angle.
To install the front speaker on a wall
Caution
• Contact a screw shop or installer regarding the wall material or screws to be used.
Use screws that are suitable for the wall material and strength. As a plaster board wall is especially fragile, attach
the screws securely to a beam and fasten them to the wall. Install the speaker on a vertical and flat wall where
reinforcement is applied.
Be sure to subcontract the installation to Sony dealers or licensed contractors and pay special attention to safety
during the installation.
Sony is not responsible for accidents or damage caused by improper installation, insufficient wall strength or
improper screw installation, natural calamity, etc.
1 Connect the speaker cord to the front speaker.
For details, see “To connect the speaker cord to the front speaker” (page 18).
2 Prepare screws (not supplied) that are suitable for the holes on the back of the speaker.
See the illustrations below.
Note
The length and type of the screw are examples. Select screws in accordance with the material or strength of
the wall to which you install the speaker.
3 Fasten the screws to the wall. The screws should protrude 6 to 7 mm (approx.

4 Hang the speaker onto the screws.
Align the holes on the back of the speaker to the screws, then hang the speaker onto the two screws.
