Using Bluetooth wireless

Using Bluetooth telephone
Important
! Since this unit is on standby toconnect with
your cellular phone via Bluetooth wireless
technology, using it without the engine run-
ning can drain the battery power.
! Operations may vary depending on the kind
of cellular phone.
! Advanced operations that require attention
such as dialing numbers on the monitor,
using the phone book, etc., are prohibited
while driving. Park your vehicle in a safe
place when using these advanced opera-
tions.
! Be sure to park your vehicle in a safe place
and apply the parking brake when perform-
ing this operation.
Setting up for hands-free phoning
Before you can use the hands-free phoning
function you must set up the unit foruse with
your cellular phone.

Storing and recalling phone numbers
1 If you find a phone number that you
want to store to memory,press and hold
down one of the presettuning buttons (1/
to 6/ )to store it to the relevantpreset
tuning button.
The functions below can be used to storephone
numbers to the memory. For details, refer to
Phone menu operation on the next page.

Using voice recognition
This feature can be used on an iPod equipped
with voice recognition that is connected by
Bluetooth with the source set to iPod or
BTAUDIO.
% Press and hold M.C. to switch to voice
recognition mode.

! Connected devices may not operate properly
if more than one Bluetooth device is con-
nected at a time (e.g. a phone and aseparate
audio player are connected simultaneously).
