LISTENING MODE
5.1 Channel and Stereo Modes
Most currently released DVDs, video cassettes and audio compact discs and many
TV broadcasts are encoded with 2 channel Stereo or 5.1 channel. Audio discs and
tuner broadcasts are in Stereo.
1 Press the INPUT SOURCE button on the front panel of the
main unit repeatedly to select one of the audio input
sources, or press the SOURCE button on the REMOTE to
select directly your required audio input source. The
corresponding indicator will light.
2 Press the SPEAKER CHANNELS button on the REMOTE control to select 5.1
channel or 2 channel sound.
3 When 2 channel sound is selected, the center & rear speaker volume
controls will, of course, not work.
NOTE: The factory’s default input source is DVD with 5.1
channel sound output. When the set is turned to
ON, the DVD indicator and 5.1 channel indicator
will be on and sound will come out of 5 speakers
plus the subwoofer. To change 5.1 channel to 2
channel output, press the SPEAKER CHANNELS
button. The sound will only come out of 2 front
speakers plus the subwoofer.
NOTE: About fuse replacement.
In the unusual event that nothing lights up and no sound, your fuse may have blown. To check for a blown fuse, follow the steps below.
1.Open the fuse cover (on the back of
the main set) by using a Philips
screwdriver to unscrew the fuse cover
cap.
2. Examine the fuse. If a wire
shows, the fuse is good.
3. If the wire is broken in the middle,
replace with a 1.6A 250V “T” type
glass fuse.
“T” means time delay or slow blow
fuse.
