Basic section
1. Load a cassette tape.
(Recording is available on deck B only.)
2. Select the tape transport direction.
Let's record
Recording on TAPE
1 Open the door of deck B.
2 Insert a tape.
3 Close the door.
1 Select deck B by pressing the
A/B key.
2 Press the play key correspond-
ing to the desired direction.
3 Stop playback (by pressing the
& key).
To reverse the transport direction
÷ When recording is started, the
tape is transported in the direction
selected in this step.
÷ Wind the tape to the position
where recording is to be started.
Check the tape transport direction indicator. ¶
3. Set the recording condition.
1 Select the reverse mode. ‹
2 Select the DOLBY NR mode. (XD-7...series, XD-8...series only)

to the audio can be recorded together with it.

to the audio can be recorded together with it, but the ef-
fects obtained by surround playback or DSP playback
cannot be recorded together with the audio.
