Files encoded using Apple’s Lossless Encoder cannot be
played.

Other notes
Note that even where audio  les comply with the above
standards, playback may fail due to factors such as the
disc characteristics or recording conditions.
Playback may also fail depending on the speci cations
of the encoding software or the settings used for
encoding.
DRM (Digital Rights Management)  les cannot be
played.
Audio  les encoded using VBR (Variable Bit Rate) may
use bit rates that fall outside the supported range. Audio
les with bit rates outside the supported range cannot
be played.
