Setup
The Auto Room EQ function sets up the optimum home theater
environment by automatically measuring and analyzing the
following properties.
¶ Connected speakers
¶ Distance from each speaker to the listening
position
¶ Size of each speaker
¶ Polarity of each speaker
¶ Reproduce frequency characteristic of each
speaker
¶ Volume level of each speaker
This function uses the setup microphone provided with this unit.
The speakers output high-level test tones during measurement.
Take special care for the neighborhood and sleeping children
when using this function particularly in the nighttime.

If headphones are plugged in, unplug them.
2 Place the microphone in the listening position.
Place the microphone at the height of the listener’s ears.
Do not place any obstacle between the microphone and
the speakers.
3 Enter the Auto Setup mode and start
measurement.
[AUTO ROOM EQ]
Use [MULTI CONTROL 2/3] to select "Calibrate".
[ENTER]
Use [MULTI CONTROL 2/3] to select "Start".
[ENTER]
It takes about 2 minutes before the measurement
completes.
The display changes from "Calibrating 1" to "Calibrating 2".
When the measurement completes, the display changes
to "Analyzing", indicating that the measurement results are
being analyzed. In this case, go to step 6.
If the measurement stopped in the middle and a message is
displayed, go to step 4.
4 Check the message and take an action against the
message.
