Collective presetting of stations
(Auto memory)
Keep the TUNER (BAND) key depressed
for about 2 seconds. (Main unit only)
÷ With models that have RDS functions (U.K. and
Europe models only), only FM stations are preset
using the Auto Memory function. To preset AM (MW/
LW) stations, please follow the procedure in “One-by-
one presetting (manual preset)” on this page.
÷ Some stations may not be able to be preset if their
reception conditions are weak.
÷ A maximum of 40 stations are preset automatically with
priority given to the FM band.
÷ When there are many stations and the intended station
has not been preset, please follow the procedure in
“One-by-one presetting (manual preset)” on this page.
÷ The stations which were previously preset are overwrit-
ten.
÷ Repeat the above procedure to preset other stations.
÷ If two stations are preset under the same number, the
previous memory is replaced with the newest preset
information.
One-by-one presetting
(manual preset)
3 Press the ENTER key to set the preset.
(Presetting is cancelled when no operation is
executed for 5 seconds or more.)
2 Select one of the preset numbers from 1 to 40.
(Presetting is cancelled when no operation is ex-
ecuted for 5 seconds or more.)
1 Keep the ENTER key depressed for about 2
seconds during reception to enter the
memory mode.
Auto tuning : Press the MULTI CONTROL keys to receive the next
tuned station automatically.
(On the remote control unit, press the 1 or ¡ key.)
P. call on : Press the MULTI CONTROL keys to select a stored
preset. When a key is held depressed, preset stations will
be skipped at an interval of about 0.5 second. See the
procedures below for details on presetting stations.
(On the remote control unit, press the number buttons.)
Manual tuning : Press the MULTI CONTROL keys to select a frequency.
(On the remote control unit, press the 1 or ¡ key.)
3. Select a station.
÷ When the Auto memory is complete, the station
assigned to preset 1 is tuned.
