To change the transmittable signals for oper-
ating a CATV converter or DBS tuner

Slide the remote control mode to “CATV/
DBS.”

Press and hold TV/CATV/DBS .
Keep press until step 4 is finished.

Press TV.

Enter manufacturer’s code (2 digits) using
buttons 1 - 9, and 0.
See the list below to find the code.
Examples:
For a JVC product, press 2, then 1.
For a Pioneer product, press 1, then 3.

Release TV/CATV/DBS .
After setting the remote control mode selector to “CATV/
DBS,” you can perform the following operations on the
CATV convertor or on the DBS tuner:
Note:
Refer to the manual supplied with your CATV converter or
DBS tuner.

Try to operate your CATV converter or DBS
tuner by pressing TV/CATV/DBS .
When your CATV converter or DBS tuner turns on or off, you
have entered the correct code.
If there are more than one code listed for your brand
of CATV converter or DBS tuner,
try each one until the
correct one is entered.
Manufactures’ codes are subject to change without notice. If they
are changed, this remote control cannot operate the equipment.

ating another manufacturer’s VCR

Set the remote control mode to “AUDIO/TV/VCR.”

Press and hold VCR .
Keep press until step 4 is finished.

Press VCR.

buttons 1 - 9, and 0.
See the list below to find the code.
Examples:
For a JVC product, press 0, then 1.
For a Funai product, press 1, then 0.

Release VCR .
Following button can be used for operating the VCR (with the
remote control mode selector set to “AUDIO/TV/VCR”):
VCR : Turns on and off the VCR.
After pressing VCR (with the remote control mode selector
set to “AUDIO/TV/VCR”), you can perform the following
operations on the VCR:

Refer to the manual supplied with your VCR.

Try to operate your VCR by pressing VCR .
When your VCR turns on or off, you have entered the correct
code.
If there are more than one code listed for your brand
of VCR,
try each one until the correct one is entered.

TV/CATV/DBS :
Turns on and off the CATV con-
verter or DBS tuner.

Changes the channels.
1 - 10, 0, 100+ (+10):

the ENTER button if your equip-
ment requires pressing ENTER af-
ter selecting a channel number.

the ENTER button if your VCR re-
quires pressing ENTER after select-
ing a channel number.
