! Note regarding batteries ! Only use alkaline batteries. Do
not mix different brands or types of batteries. Change your
batteries once every six months. Check the batteries once
a month to make sure that they have not leaked. Damage
caused by leaked batteries is not covered by warranty.
Powering The Radio
Plug the Power Cord into a mains [AC] outlet, then into the
13.5 VDC, positive polarity socket on the back of the radio.
For best results on AM and SW reception, the power sup

ply should be positioned away from the radio.
When the power cord is first plugged in or the ON/OFF
button is given a quick press the display turns on into ON
mode [2.1]. Using a quick press of the ON/OFF button will
place it into STANDBY mode, with the time of day in the
display [2.2]. Using a longer press, about 4 seconds, of the
ON/OFF button will clear the display and turn everything OFF.
