FM Radio Data System [RDS]
This radio has Radio Data System [RDS], allowing display
of information selected by the FM stations using this
system. This information, appearing in the bottom of the
display, may include the call letters of the station, mes
-
sages conveyed by the station, names of songs and the
artist. Not all FM stations use the RDS system.
Using Shortwave Tuning (P´9121, P´9125, P´9127, P´9128
only)
Shortwave allows tuning of stations from many hundreds
to many thousands of miles away or from other countries.
Shortwave frequency ranges are called meter bands.
Below is a chart showing which shortwave bands can be
tuned with the P´9120 and gives some characteristics of
each band. The frequencies of shortwave time stations are
also shown.
