Bass and Treble Controls
In addition to the preset EQ settings the Bass and Treble settings may also be
adjusted separately.
NOTE: In order to adjust the Bass and Treble settings the EQ must be in the
Flat/EQ ‘Off’ mode with no EQ indicator appearing in the display.
To adjust the Bass level, press the Mode button once.
The BASS indicator and the default bass level of “00” begin
flashing in the display.
While the display is flashing press the Volume + or Volume – buttons to increase
or decrease the Bass level. The adjustment range is +/– 6 db in 2 db steps.
To adjust the Treble level, press the Mode button twice.
The TREBLE indicator and the default treble level of “00” begin
flashing in the display.
While the display is flashing press the Volume + or Volume – buttons to increase
or decrease the Treble level. The adjustment range is +/– 6 db in 2 db steps.
NOTE: You must make the adjustments within 10 seconds while the display is
flashing. After 10 seconds the display returns to the correct time, radio
frequency, or CD track and time info, and the settings cannot be adjusted.
Stereo Surround Control (Under Secondary Control Cover)
This system includes a special surround circuit that provides an expanded stereo
effect, making the speakers seem to be farther apart than they actually are.
Press the Stereo Surround button to activate this feature. The Surround indicator
appears in the display. Press the Stereo Surround button again to cancel
this feature. The Surround indicator disappears.
NOTE: It is not recommended to use the Stereo Surround function when
listening to weak or distant FM stereo stations.
