DTS TEST DISCS
Below is a list of all the test discs released by DTS. Some of these test discs are obsolete and should no
longer be used. In most cases, the discs are obsolete due to software changes that made them incompatible
with current DTS players. Normally, when a test disc is obsolete, DTS will send free upgraded discs to
people who have purchased DTS Technician’s Kits. Sometimes, we miss a few people. Anyone who was
missed is still entitled to a free upgraded disc. They should contact DTS Customer Service (818) 706-3525).
CURRENT OBSOLETE TITLE NOTES
Stereo Setup Stereo DTS players obsolete. Do not use.
Stereo Demo Stereo DTS players obsolete. Do not use.
6-Track Setup, RevC May be used to set SPL levels, will not work
in DTS-6D Drive C. Do not use.
6-Track Setup, RevD Has a bug. Do not use.
6-Track Setup, DS1 Used to checks DTS-6D defaults.
6-Track Demo, D-1 Original demo disc, old software. Do not
use.
Buzz and Bill Show 6-track demo remix, no date, has a bug Do
not use.
Buzz and Bill Show June 27, 1997, do not use.
Buzz and Bill Show February 1, 1999. Has SMPTE RP200.
Empirical Test No date. Will not work in DTS units with
Adaptec/Acqutek SCSI. Do not use.
Empirical Test June 7, 1997
Projector Speed Test Special order only.
Strobe Test June 17, 1997, normally not distributed. Has
a software bug. Do not use.
* Stand Alone Trailer Disc Has old software that may cause current
players to malfunction. Do not use.
* DTS Trailer Discs
Use only most current trailer discs. Any disc specially made for a particular cinema chain, must contain the
current software file.
