disk (provided with the blower kit) into the snap disk holder, located on the right side at the top of the
ash pan housing, utilizing the two screws provided in the kit; c) install the wiring harness provided
with the blower kit. Once all connections are made and parts properly located, plug the power cord
into the receptacle located on the lower right corner inside the lower grill compartment. A certified
electrician should have previously connected this receptacle to the home power grid. The blower
speed control can also be purchased from Country Flame or its dealers. Once installation of the
optional blower system is complete, the source of electrical supply can be reconnected.
Note: Do NOT attempt to install the optional blower system while the Inglenook Fireplace is being
burnt or any time shortly after burning. Attempting to install the option blower system while the
Inglenook is hot can cause severe burns.
CAUTION: Hot Parts. Do not operate the unit with the lower grill open.
BLOWER (optional) OPERATION
Operation of the optional blower system is relatively simple. Once the provided wiring harness,
blower motor, and snap disk are installed and plugged in with the electrical supply reconnected, a fire
can be started in the Inglenook. After the fire has generated enough heat, the optional installed blower
system will automatically turn on. The blower begins to operate because the Inglenook grate area has
reached approximately 110
0
F causing the installed snap disk to close thus energizing the blower
motor electrical circuit. Blower motor system operation could take longer than 20 minutes depending
on room temperature, outside temperature, and the size of the fire started in the Inglenook. It is
important to note that if the optional wall blower speed control is installed and turned to low, the
blower’s speed will limit the amount of airflow that can be obtained as the blower motor begins
operation. In the event the blower motor does not operate and it has been verified that the electrical
supply is operating, contact a Country Flame service technician to have the system checked. Do not
try to service the blower system unless you are a certified electrician. With the optional blower motor
system plugged into the receptacle and the electrical supply energized, an electrical shock potential
exists. The Inglenook lower compartment is labeled with Risk of Electrical Shock. Disconnect
Power Before Servicing the Unit. Knowledge of electrical systems is required for troubleshooting
and servicing of the optional blower system.
Country Flame’s optional blower system is designed for use only in the Inglenook fireplace and
should not be utilized in any other application. The optional Inglenook blower system must be
disconnected from the source of electrical supply (as appropriate) before attempting any installation
or servicing. In addition, the optional blower system has moving parts that may cause injury. Do not
reach into the lower grill area and try to determine if the blower is operating by touching or feeling
for a vibration of the motor. Reaching into the area of moving parts may cause injury. Never reach
into the lower grill compartment when the Inglenook Fireplace is being burnt as severe burns can
occur from contact with hot parts.
DANGER: Risk of Electric Shock. Disconnect Power Before Servicing The Blower Unit.
